Privacy Policy (effective October 2015)

ClickRouter created this privacy policy to demonstrate our commitment to customer privacy. We reserve the right to change this policy and will post notification of the change on our web site prior to the effective date of change.

Collected Information

We collect information to fulfill your requests for products and services, administrative purposes, to provide, monitor and analyze usage and trends of our services. We also collect information to provide support, updates, and communicate with you about our products and services. In connection with certain aspects of our services, we may request, collect and/or display some information about you.

User Information:

When you create an account, we will collect personal information from you, such as your name, email address and billing information. Personal customer information will not be distributed or shared with third parties, except as specified below under 3rd party information sharing. Customers can unsubscribe from receiving certain types of messages, but ClickRouter reserves the right to contact you when we believe it is necessary, such as for administrative and account management purposes.

Note: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information of a child under 13, we will take steps to promptly delete such information.

URL Information:

ClickRouter has the ability to create shortened uniform resource locators (URLs) of websites ("ClickRouter Links") and we collect and store both the original URL and the shortened URL. We may also collect information on the channels through which the ClickRouter Link was shared.

Metrics and Analytics:

ClickRouter collects information on all clicks via a link traveling through our services. The information includes, but is not limited to: the device's IP address and location, the referring websites or services, and the date and time.

We use this information for supporting business analysis and operations, improving products and services, personalizing content, marketing optimization and research, and to improve the relevancy of our recommendations.

Anonymized and/or aggregated (non-personally identifiable) data may be shared in with our customers and business partners, such as the owners of the URLs utilizing our services.

3rd Party Information Sharing

ClickRouter will keep your Personally Identifiable Information private, and never sell, rent or disclose any of your PII, including your email address, to any third party without your prior and explicit consent. However, we may disclose your personal data to third parties:

  • If we engage a third party to communicate with you on our behalf (for example, to conduct a survey).
  • If we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
  • If we identify a Publisher with which a Merchant could have a commercial relationship and wish to make an introduction.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with the requirements of any court, tribunal or governmental authority with competent jurisdiction or other legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply ClickRouter's Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ClickRouter, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purpose of fraud protection and spam/malware prevention.
